May Include—my new, twice-monthly newsletter experiment—is a home for essays (some personal, and some more journalistic) about drugs, healing, and labor, mostly, and how they push against, get subsumed by, play with—in short, intertwine with—capitalism.

May Include looks at the labor most overlooked. You’ll find a lot of rumination about Big Pharma, drug testing, and the people who test our drugs (I’m writing a book about it, alas), but also stories about Amazon delivery drivers, sex work, contract work, and poverty hustles.

Expect writing that’s careful, personal, critical, and led with curiosity. (And backed by research. And pro-science.)

It’s new, and I’d love your input! (And support.)
